Terms and Conditions

1.         GENERAL 

1.1       Each person applying for the membership in the Programme is considered to have accepted and agrees to abide by the Terms and Conditions.

 1.2       Proflight Zambia reserves the right to modify (in whole or in part) or terminate the Program at any time without prior notice. Modifications may concern rules of the Programme, membership conditions, amount of miles required for certain destinations, the period of validity of miles, etc.

1.3       Proflight Zambia reserves the right, without giving reason at its sole discretion, to rescind or refuse membership of the Mbasela Club.

 1.4       Proflight Zambia reserves the right to terminate the Mbasela Club at any time but will use its reasonable endeavours to give at least six months' notice to Members. Notice of termination will be provided on the website, www.proflight-zambia.com.

 1.5       Each member must have his/her own unique e-mail address.

 2.         MBASELA CLUB MEMBERSHIP

2.1. Membership in the Programme can be obtained by completing an Application Form (Paper form or on-line via Internet).

2.2       Children under 12 years of age, staff of Proflight Zambia and associated companies, airline,airport or travel agency staff are not eligible for membership of the Mbasela Club.

2.3.      Only one Membership is allowed per person. Organisations, corporations and other entities cannot be enrolled as a Member.

2.4.      Mbasela Club Membership is free of charge.

2.5.      Proflight Zambia reserves the right to refuse or cancel Membership of any applicant who does not comply with the Terms and Conditions.

 2.6.      Membership termination may occur:

 - if a Member fails to comply with the Terms and Conditions
- upon the wish of a Member at any time by written notice
- upon the termination of the Program

2.7       Upon Membership termination, all accumulated miles will be cancelled.

3.         MBASELA CLUB MEMBERSHIP CARD

3.1       Member should keep his/her temporary Membership card until he/she is eligible for a permanent Membership card. A permanent card is issued upon accrual of 10 scheduled service flights with Proflight Zambia (flights booked with P0 code).

3.2       Mbasela Club Membership cards are personal, not transferable and valid for use only when signed by a Member.

3.3       Mbasela Club Membership cards remain the property of Proflight Zambia and should be returned after Membership termination.

3.4       Membership cards cannot be used after the date of expiry and/or after termination of Membership in the Mbasela Club.

3.5       Lost, stolen or damaged Membership cards can be replaced upon a Member's notification.

4.         MBASELA CLUB MILES

4.1       The mile is the basic unit of calculation in the Program

4.2       Members are eligible to receive Mbasela Miles for travel in eligible booking classes on Proflight Zambia; the number of Miles will vary depending on the route flown and the fare paid. Mbasela Miles have no cash value.

4.3       Ongoing membership of the Mbasela Club is subject to a Member earning the minimum number of Mbasela Miles.  Proflight reserve the right to terminate membership where less than 10 flights have been taken in any period of 12 consecutive months.

4.4       Mbasela Miles are awarded in respect of transactions completed by the individual Member only and on completion of the flight.

4.5       Mbasela Miles reward tickets, children's fares, discounted fares and designated special promotions/fares, spouse fares, charters, inclusive tours, free or complimentary tickets are not eligible for Mbasela Miles.

4.6       Members are advised to retain original e-ticket coupons and boarding passes relating to travel on Proflight. In the event that transactions have not been recorded on the Member’s account, the transactions can be credited up to three months from the date of the transaction.

4.7       Mbasela Miles unredeemed after 36 months will automatically be cancelled without further notice, i.e. in month 37, Mbasela Miles earned in month 1 will have no further value.

4.8       Miles are not credited for unused, lost or refunded tickets.

4.9       Miles will automatically be credited to a Member's account within 2 weeks provided his/her Membership number is recorded whenever he/she books a flight and upon presenting his/her Membership card at check-in desk before departure.

4.10    In case of any errors (miles credited/debited incorrectly, etc.) Proflight Zambia reserves the right to correct the account of any Member.

5.         REWARDS

5.1       As soon as a Member's account has reached the required mileage level the free/discounted ticket, upgrade or reward can be ordered from the Mbasela Club.

5.2       Mbasela Club reserves the right to change the conditions regarding the number of miles required to obtain an award and to cancel award offers. All reward tickets are subject to applicable taxes, fees and charges. It is not possible to use Reward Miles to pay for a ticket that has already been booked.

5.3       To order a free ticket Member should provide the Mbasela Club department  with details of the trip (name, membership number, route, dates of travel, class, contacts, etc.) at least 10 working days before the date of travel. Reward tickets must be ordered by e-mailing Mbasela@proflight-zambia.com.

5.4       Open-dated award-tickets are not allowed.

5.5       All award tickets are subject to seat availability in the designated Mbasela Club booking class. The number of seats for award tickets is limited even on flights, which are not fully booked. Some restrictions for awards may appear depending on date, season and destination and under certain circumstances awards may not be available. Members should provide alternate travel dates when ordering an award.

5.6       Earned miles cannot be combined with cash or other form of payment to get an award.

5.7       Once issued, Mbasela Miles reward tickets are non-transferable/non-refundable/non-exchangeable and may not be sold. Redeemed Mbasela Miles will not be re-credited to the Member's account. Subject to payment of the change fee of USD 50 and seat availability Reward ticket reservations may be changed to another flight up to 24 hours before the scheduled time of departure.

5.8       Reward Miles will be forfeited in the case of No Show.

6.  TRANSFERING AWARDS

A Member may transfer awards, but not issued tickets, to any person of his/her choice. To transfer awards to family members or friends, the Member should e-mail authorisation to the Mbasela Club, mbasela@proflight-zambia.com.

All rules and regulations outlined here also apply to the person to whom the award is transferred; it is the Member's responsibility to ensure that the person receiving the transferred award is aware of the flight restrictions, taxes payable and the others rules and regulations. Proflight Zambia is not responsible for fraud or for any other misuse of a ticket or award.
